Oak Island is the site of the worlds longest treasure hunt… You now have the opportunity to walk the island on a guided tour during the Mahone Bay Pirate Festival at 2 pm on August 4 and August 5, 2012.
The walking tour takes two hours and during that time you will find out the fascinating history of the island, see areas of the island where excavations have taken place such as the Money Pit & Borehole 10 X..
Was it Pirates, was it the Knights Templar, or Francis Bacon, Ark of the Covenant or simply just a myth?
Arrive at least 30 minutes early and enjoy the display of artifacts and photographs in our interpretation centre!
Tours are $10 per adult and $5 per child. Friends of Oak Island members $5 and you can pay at the causeway or book online to reserve a space.. limit 150 per tour.
